Many areas of Commonwealth Stadium including the Edmonton Eskimos and Visitors locker rooms, Media Lounge, and all Luxury Boxes were installed by Cutting Edge Flooring.

One of the heaviest traffic venues in the province, the Mannington carpet installed with the double-bond method still looked the same five years later as the day it was installed.

Over a period of several years the galleries and common areas at this venerable building have been updated and Cutting Edge Flooring has been there through it all.

Elite heli-skiing facility high in the Canadian Rockies, the new addition to the lodge was installed in 2003 and the new staff lodge in 2004.

A demanding, high profile installation in Calgary’s city centre with Durkan patterned carpets in several prints.

When Queen Elizabeth II visited Edmonton in May 2005, Cutting Edge Flooring was there to first test fit and then roll out the red carpet for her.

Royal Visit, Edmonton (Alberta’s Centennial)

Originally built as the residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, the house is now home to caucus meetings and banquets and is at other times open to public tours. This was a rare double-glue application of a woven Wilton wool carpet with borders and insets.

One of Edmonton’s original High Rise towers, The City of Edmonton took over 6 floors in 2005. With Shaw patterned commercial glue-down carpet and a very tight time frame, we turned over entire floors in an average  of 3 days per floor.

CN Tower, Edmonton, AB

When this hotel on Banff Avenue has their flooring replaced, they call Cutting Edge Flooring. Rooms: Durkan custom carpet stretched in over pad. Hallways: Durkan pad-attached (Duralon) direct glue down carpet.

Rundle Stone Lodge, Banff, AB

A demanding coved linoleum project with curves and heat welding in a commercial kitchen and lunch area, this was about as difficult as an installation can get. 9 colors of Forbo Linoleum.

Gregg Distributors, Edmonton, AB

Prior to the Edmonton Oilers 2007-08 season, a major renovation of the club level took place. Cutting Edge Flooring installed Armstrong luxury vinyl plank and Interface carpet tile for the club areas, and rubber slab tile for the walkway to the Oilers dressing room.

Rexall Place, Edmonton, AB

One of the Caribou Properties group, this is Banff’s newest hotel. Built in 2007, it features enhancer backed carpet in the rooms and Arteca vinyl Plank flooring in the kitchens and entry areas supplied by Christopher Carpets in Edmonton.

Fox Hotel, Banff, AB

This completely round house with seven separate levels and hours of custom upholstery presented many challenges during the power-stretched installation. Crossley woven carpet over Eco-Cushion pad.

This challenging installation in an upscale neighborhood in Edmonton overlooking the river valley involved a balanced, edge bound stair runner on 34 stairs with two balanced and pattern-matched landings. Woven (Axminster) wool carpet with durafit 500 commercial pad.

The oldest and grandest hotel in Edmonton, The Hotel MacDonald used custom woven wool carpets with borders and medallions employing a double-glue installation. Under a tight schedule, the three ballrooms, dining room and lounge were installed in less time than was budgeted.

This linoleum installation had it all; Linoleum with curves, stairs, ramps, insets, and heat welding, with nearly a week of floor prep. Mike was the lead installer on this challenging project out of town.

Edson Recreation Centre, Edson, AB

1400 square yards of this material shipped with many serious flaws and a limited time line for a high profile client. Sending it back and shipping replacement material was not an option. Cutting Edge Flooring was called in to correct the deficiencies and complete the installation.

Katz Group Head Offices, Edmonton, AB

One of the most high profile projects in the province, Cutting Edge Flooring was charged with the task of installing the Linoleum, Carpet Tile, Broadloom, Aluminum Flooring, and even the Whiterock Hygienic panels on the commercial Kitchen walls.

Art Gallery of Alberta, Edmonton, AB

The jewel in the crown of the exclusive Fairmont chain of hotels, The Banff Springs was opened to the public in June, 1888. The Van Horne Room is one of the largest ballrooms in Banff, and with a custom patterned Axminster wool carpet, Cutting Edge Flooring was the natural choice for the project. Again, Mike was the lead installer on this high profile project.
